If your download has stopped or the speed has dropped to 0B/s, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Clear Download Cache (Highly Recommended)
This resolves issues caused by corrupted temporary configuration data in the Steam client.

How to: Go to the [Steam] menu (top left) → [Settings] → [Downloads] → Click [Clear Cache].

Note: This will log you out of Steam, and you will need to sign in again.

2. Change Download Region
The server you are currently connected to may be experiencing high traffic or temporary downtime.

How to: Go to [Settings] → [Downloads] → Under [Download Region], select a different city or a nearby country.

Restart Steam and check if the download resumes.

3. Repair Library Folder
Launch issues or stuck downloads can occur if Steam doesn't have the correct write permissions for your install folder.

How to: Go to [Settings] → [Storage] → Select the drive where the game is being installed → Click the [...] icon on the right → Select [Repair Folder].

4. Check Disk Usage & Network Settings
If the "Network" graph is at 0 but "Disk" usage is high, Steam is likely unpacking files. If both are at 0, check the following:

Antivirus/Firewall: Your security software may be blocking Steam's data. Try adding the Steam folder to your 'Exclusions' list.

Bandwidth Limits: Go to [Settings] → [Downloads] and ensure 'Limit download speed' is unchecked.

5. Adjust Network Adapter Power Settings
Windows may temporarily disable your network card to save power, causing downloads to drop. (Recommended for Laptops/Handhelds)

How to: Open [Device Manager] → [Network adapters] → Right-click your network card → [Properties] → [Power Management] tab → Uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'.
